Interest In Thematic Funds Expected To Rise

Ninety per cent of professional investors expect to increase thematic exposure over the next 12 months, with 95 per cent having seen interest in thematic investing increase over the last year, says a report from HANetf. Of the professional investors surveyed, 73.3 per cent have over 15 per cent exposure to thematic funds in the portfolios they manage, with 98.3 per cent having at least five per cent exposure. The metaverse, blockchain, decentralized finance, and the crypto economy have become popular investment themes with 26.7 per cent of professional investors feeling positive about them. Financial professional experts expect the amount of assets under management (AuM) in thematic exchange-trades funds (ETFs) to grow by at least $50 billion by the end of 2022.
