Inflation To Fall Next Year

Professional investors believe it will be this time next year before UK inflation falls dramatically, says a study from Managing Partners Group (MPG). It shows 44 per cent of institutional investors and wealth managers across Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and the UK expect UK inflation to fall dramatically in the third quarter, but 23 per cent predict it will take until the first quarter of 2024 before inflation eases. UK inflation views are mirrored by predictions for the U.S., with 31 per cent predicting inflation won’t fall dramatically until the third quarter next year while 20 per cent say it will take the first quarter of 2024 before this happens. Predictions for the Eurozone and Switzerland are even more cautious. The option attracting the most support from professional investors surveyed is the first quarter before Eurozone and Swiss inflation falls dramatically.
